Jakarta (BERITAJA) – The peak celebration of the 44th anniversary of the National Crafts Council (Dekranas) will be held in Surakarta (Solo), Central Java, on May 14-15, 2024.

The Chairman of the 44th Dekranas Anniversary Committee, Loemongga Agus Gumiwang, stated that the peak ceremony will be enlivened with a thanksgiving event and an exhibition featuring micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

“The peak of the 44th Dekranas Anniversary will be on May 14-15 in Solo. The event includes a thanksgiving ceremony and an expo inviting MSMEs from all over Indonesia,” said Loemongga during the Social Service activity for the 44th Dekranas Anniversary at Rumah Kriya Asri/Dekranas Headquarters, Jakarta, on Sunday.

In the event attended by the Chairwoman of Dekranas and wife of the Vice President, Wury Ma’ruf Amin, Loemongga mentioned that the exhibition in Surakarta will feature 278 MSME booths at Alun-Alun Pura Mangkunegaran.

In addition to the exhibition, the 44th Dekranas Anniversary peak event will also be highlighted by a cultural parade and a decorated car parade from all provinces of Indonesia.

“So, the peak event will be a cultural parade and decorated cars representing the unique characteristics of each province,” said Loemongga.

Meanwhile, during the social service event in Jakarta on Sunday, Dekranas distributed 500 affordable food packages, each valued at Rp250,000, which could be purchased for Rp50,000 by the local community around Rumah Kriya Asri/Dekranas Headquarters in Jakarta.

The Executive Chairman of Dekranas, Tri Tito Karnavian, stated that on Monday, March 4, 2024, Dekranas will carry out a broader social service event alongside First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo, who serves as the Patron of Dekranas.

“Tomorrow, March 4, Dekranas will distribute 20 tons of rice to the community in Bogor,” said Tri.

In her speech, Dekranas Chairwoman Wury Ma’ruf Amin stated that Dekranas has grown and developed into an inspiration for many individuals.

According to Wury, every achievement and success of Dekranas, including overcoming challenges, has built a strong foundation for the organization.

She reminded that the road ahead remains long and full of challenges.

“With the spirit of togetherness and unwavering commitment, I believe we can face these challenges well. Together, we can uphold the vision and mission of Dekranas, especially as we approach the end of our service in 2024,” said Wury Ma’ruf Amin.
