Jakarta, InfoPublik – The community greatly benefited and felt happy with the National Crafts Council (Dekranas) Social Service by distributing affordable grocery packages.

This was conveyed by a resident of RT 005 RW 004, Cilandak Subdistrict, Kustini, during the 44th Anniversary (HUT) of Dekranas Social Service event, where affordable grocery packages were distributed to the community in the Pasar Minggu District, South Jakarta, on Sunday (3/3/2024).

“This event is very helpful because we can get affordable grocery packages to meet our daily needs and also prepare for the upcoming fasting month,” said Kustini.

The affordable grocery package received by the community consisted of 5 kilograms (kg) of rice, 2 liters of cooking oil, 2 kg of sugar, five packs of instant noodles, one pack of shrimp crackers, 210 milliliters of soy sauce, 15 tea bags, 250 grams of palm sugar, 150 grams of fried onions, 450 milliliters of syrup, 270 grams of wheat flour, and 270 grams of Tango wafers.

Previously, the Chairperson of Dekranas, Wury Estu Handayani Ma’ruf Amin, at the 44th Anniversary of Dekranas Social Service event at Rumah Kriya Asri, Cilandak Subdistrict, Pasar Minggu District, South Jakarta, on Sunday (3/3/2024), stated that the affordable grocery packages were expected to help meet people's food needs amid unstable staple prices.

“The 44-year journey of Dekranas cannot just be a ceremonial celebration; I am very happy because this thanksgiving event has a very deep meaning by organizing a cheap grocery bazaar for the community around Rumah Kriya Asri at a time when staple prices are rising,” said Wury Ma’ruf Amin in her speech.

The Chairperson of the 44th Dekranas Anniversary Committee, Loemongga Agus Gumiwang, stated that the social service was carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) and the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin), distributing 500 affordable grocery packages.

“One grocery package worth IDR 250,000 was only redeemed for IDR 50,000. The distribution of assistance was carried out in stages through three shifts at Rumah Kriya Asri,” she concluded.
