REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Pertiwi Indonesia is a women's organization dedicated to improving the quality and empowerment of Indonesian women in families and society. This aligns with Pertiwi Indonesia's vision of being a leading women's community in enhancing the quality of independent and nationally conscious Indonesians in the digital era. One of its key missions is to develop a productive, independent, competitive, environmentally friendly, and sustainable creative economy.
The initiatives and programs introduced by Pertiwi Indonesia aim to preserve the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Indonesia while responding to modern lifestyles, economic, social, and cultural conditions. Rumah Pertiwi is one of Pertiwi Indonesia’s initiatives designed to provide a platform for MSMEs to showcase their products and receive recognition. In collaboration with Bank Negara Indonesia, Rumah Pertiwi supports MSMEs specializing in moringa leaves in East Nusa Tenggara, palm fruit in Semarang, cassava-based products in Bogor, Jelujur embroidery weaving in Pesawaran, Lampung, and a motorcycle workshop for people with disabilities in Jakarta.
At Kriyanusa 2023, Rumah Pertiwi presents the theme "Pertiwi’s Bond of Love for Jakarta Becomes a Work for the Archipelago.” They feature Indonesia’s traditional textile heritage, including the mesmerizing Jelujur embroidery weaving from Pesawaran, Lampung, blended with beautiful Betawi motifs to create a strong Indonesian visual identity. Rumah Pertiwi also offers home interior products and exquisite fashion accessories. Additionally, they showcase teak wood furniture, a heritage passed down for 400 years from Prince Jayakarta.
Antarina F. Amir, Chairperson of Pertiwi Indonesia, expressed her deep appreciation and gratitude for the full support from PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, enabling Pertiwi Indonesia to carry out this series of activities at Kriyanusa 2023, in alignment with the 496th Jakarta Anniversary Program, themed "JAKARTA Becomes a Work for the Archipelago.”
"Through Rumah Pertiwi, Pertiwi Indonesia strives to advance Indonesian MSMEs by preserving traditional crafts while adapting to modern lifestyle demands and fostering love for locally made products. This initiative ultimately benefits both artisans and consumers, especially with the presence of Rumah Pertiwi at Kriyanusa 2023,” said Trisni Puspitaningtyas, Head of DPD DKI Jakarta and Chairperson of the Organizing Committee.
