Jakarta – The wife of Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, Wury Ma’ruf Amin, attended the 44th anniversary celebration of the National Craft Council (Dekranas) at Rumah Kriya Asri, South Jakarta. Wury distributed several food packages to the surrounding residents.

The event was held at Rumah Kriya Asri, South Jakarta, on Sunday (3/3/2024). Wury arrived at 8:50 AM WIB. Upon arrival, she was given the opportunity to distribute food packages to several local residents attending the event.

Wury stated that the distribution of food packages and the affordable food bazaar were intended for the community around Rumah Kriya Asri. She expressed her gratitude for being able to assist the local residents amid rising food prices.

“Personally, I am very happy because today’s thanksgiving event holds deep meaning for the community. The current economic conditions are challenging, with food prices rising due to poor harvests in Indonesia,” Wury said in her speech.

Furthermore, Wury mentioned that Dekranas has been a pillar in the development of craftsmanship in Indonesia since March 3, 1980. She stated that Dekranas has grown into an inspiration for many individuals and communities in fostering creativity and innovation among artisans, in line with Dekranas’ vision and mission.

“With the spirit of togetherness and unwavering commitment, I am confident that we can face challenges well. Together, we can uphold Dekranas’ vision and mission, especially as we approach the end of our 2024 term,” she added.

Moreover, Wury expressed her gratitude to the relevant parties who supported the event, including the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) and the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin).

“I extend my thanks to Kemendag and Kemenperin for their contributions to today’s event,” she concluded.

At the same location, the event’s committee chair, Loemongga Agus Gumiwang, stated that 500 food packages would be distributed. These packages could be purchased for only 50,000 rupiahs.

“There is an affordable food bazaar where we collaborate with the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Trade to provide 500 food packages worth approximately 250,000 rupiahs but available for just 50,000 rupiahs. These packages are given to residents around Rumah Kriya Asri in cooperation with local neighborhood units (RT/RW),” she explained.

The food packages will be distributed in three shifts. She added that the affordable food bazaar was held as a form of gratitude for Dekranas' 44th anniversary.
