On March 18, 2025, Sally Giovanny, a representative of the Business Management Division of Dekranas, along with Women’s Solidarity for Indonesia (SERUNI) Division 6, organized an event titled DigiTalk UMKM: Powerful Storytelling, Better Sales, combined with a cooking class led by Chef Archie Prameswara. This activity was part of the Ramadan Low-Cost Bazaar Week series held at Rumah UMKM, Exhibition Hall Smesco Indonesia, South Jakarta. All these activities aim to promote the spirit of Empowered Artisans among MSME players.

Building Strong Stories for MSMEs

In the DigiTalk session, MSME participants received hands-on guidance on how to craft compelling stories for their products. Storytelling is not just about marketing goods but also about building emotional connections with customers. Participants were encouraged to deliver sincere messages, highlight the uniqueness of their products, and use social media and digital platforms more wisely—so that Empowered Artisans can become more widely recognized.

An Inspirational and Eco-Friendly Cooking Class

Equally engaging, the cooking class with Chef Archie Prameswara also drew much attention. Chef Archie shared creative ways to turn leftover ingredients into delicious and nutritious new dishes. This aligns with the food waste reduction campaign, which is increasingly important and part of the social responsibility of Empowered Artisans.

Dekranas and SERUNI's Commitment to Sustainable MSMEs

The Partnership Division of Dekranas and SERUNI showed that support for MSMEs goes beyond business training—it also includes raising awareness on social and environmental issues. Through this event, participants not only learned sales strategies but were also encouraged to become business owners who are more mindful of sustainability, in line with the values of Empowered Artisans.

Positive Impact for Small Business Owners

Programs like DigiTalk UMKM offer real benefits for small and medium business owners. Besides expanding their knowledge, the event also provided a platform for sharing experiences, building networks, and exploring new ideas that can be applied in daily business. All of these steps align with the spirit of Empowered Artisans, encouraging MSME players to keep growing, stay creative, and remain competitive.
