A total of 102 decorative cars with Nusantara characteristics participated.
The decorations were the result of the creativity of members from 38 Dekranas Regional (Dekranasda) Provinces.
The parade was also enlivened by 1,250 pedestrians wearing traditional clothing from various regions.
This element led MURI to record the 'Kriya and Culture Parade' as the event with the most decorative cars.
Chairman of MURI, Jaya Suprana, before presenting the award certificate, explained that the parade organized by Dekranas actually broke a world record.
According to him, such a parade with this many cars accompanied by beautiful dances has never happened in the world.
"This is a world record," he said.
"Because nothing like this has ever happened in the world, with this many cars and beautiful dances," he added.
"We ask the First Lady to kindly accept this certificate," Jaya Suprana said.
Meanwhile, Iriana Jokowi, who wore a kebaya and a Dayak headband, seemed to thoroughly enjoy the event.
Iriana Jokowi was riding in the Rajamala decorated car, along with members of OASE Indonesia Maju Cabinet.
Iriana Jokowi and her entourage then got off at the Gatot Subroto intersection and took a seat on the honor stage.
On the main stage, designed to look like a train carriage complete with a steam locomotive, Iriana was accompanied by the Chairperson of Dekranas, Wury Ma’aruf Amin, and the Chairperson of Dekranasda Surakarta City, Selvi Ananda Gibran Rakabuming.
The Chairperson of the New Entrepreneur Division of Dekranas, Endang Budi Karya, who coordinated the competition, explained that this record is an achievement for Dekranas.
"We received the MURI record because we were able to organize a kriya and culture parade with the most participants," she said.
"There has never been anything like this before," she added.
"In the past, the parade had only 66 cars," she told Tribunjateng.com, Thursday (16/5/2024).

On the other hand, the Head of the Surakarta City Culture and Tourism Office, Aryo Widyandoko, revealed that the Surakarta City Government received the green light from Endang to enjoy the MURI award.
This is because the decorative car and culture parade was held thanks to the collaboration between Dekranas and the Surakarta City Government.
"This is a collaboration where Dekranas, Mrs. Endang Budi Karya asked us from the Surakarta City Government to help with the organization, " explained Aryo Widyandoko.
Aryo hopes that the culmination of the 44th Anniversary of Dekranas in Surakarta will make people more interested in visiting the city.
Additionally, such cultural events will benefit the residents of Surakarta and its surroundings.
In the 'Kriya and Culture Parade' competition, Dekranasda South Sumatra Province won the General Champion and Dekranasda South Kalimantan Province won the Favorite Champion.
Meanwhile, Surakarta City won Third Place, behind Papua Pegunungan Province in First Place and Barito Timur Regency in Second Place.
In addition to the Kriya and Culture Parade, the 44th Anniversary of Dekranas is still ongoing in the City of Bengawan until Saturday (18/5/2024).
There is also a Dekranas Expo involving 257 craft product booths, Nusantara culinary booths, and consultation services for artisans held at Pamedan Mangkunegaran Square. (*)
