As one of the supporters of the national economy, the Government of President Prabowo Subianto continues to strive to encourage the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to be more developed and competitive. In supporting these efforts, the Chairperson of the National Craft Council (Dekranas), Mrs. Selvi Gibran Rakabuming, invited the Chairpersons of the Provincial Dekranasda to be more active in fostering and empowering MSMEs in their respective regions.

"The task of the Chairperson of the Provincial Dekranasda is to be more active, how to invite MSME entrepreneurs in their respective regions to be fostered, given socialization, and given education," said Mrs. Selvi while attending the inauguration of 34 Chairpersons of the Provincial Dekranasda for the 2025-2030 Term, Breaking the Fast Together, and Commemorating the 45th Anniversary of Dekranas in 2025 at the Auditorium of the Vice President's Secretariat, Monday (03/03/2025).

Ms. Selvi said that there are still many MSME actors who have not received optimal assistance. Therefore, she asked all Provincial Dekranasda Chairs to ensure that MSMEs in their regions receive comprehensive guidance. In addition, she also directed that MSME entrepreneurs not only be introduced to the local market, but also encouraged to expand their reach to the national and international levels.

"The most important thing is that MSME entrepreneurs must be guided and assisted, from A to Z," said Mrs. Selvi.

"Whether we will be invited to participate in many exhibitions, bazaars, then we will look for another market. Or better yet, we will be invited to promote overseas. Well, that's what we want for the next 5 years," he added.

Furthermore, Mrs. Selvi explained that currently MSMEs have contributed 60% to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and absorbed almost 97% of the workforce. With such great potential, the Chairmen of Dekranasda are expected to continue to play an active role in supporting MSMEs in various ways.

\"So these mothers must also be active, that's my message. So they must be active, they must be able to find markets for their entrepreneurs, they can provide socialization, then the training must continue to be given to MSME entrepreneurs, don't forget. Then they must always innovate, then they can also invite designers," he explained.

On the same occasion, Mrs. Selvi also conveyed her 45th birthday greetings to Dekranas, whose anniversary coincided with the inauguration of the Chairmen of the Provincial Dekranasda.

"I wish a happy birthday to the National Craft Council and all administrators of the National Craft Council, starting from the center, provinces, and cities/regencies. I would like to thank you for your dedication, for the time, energy, support that has been given to always foster UMKM entrepreneurs and preserve Indonesia's cultural heritage," he said.

Through this inauguration and anniversary celebration, Mrs. Selvi hopes that Dekranas will continue to innovate and adapt to changing times, especially in the era of increasingly developing digitalization.

"Therefore, it requires commitment from all of us, as well as our hard work together to expand socialization and marketing, strengthen cooperation and collaboration, so that Dekranas can continue to support the empowerment of MSMEs and the community economy, of course in accordance with the vision of President Prabowo," he concluded.

After the inauguration of the 34 Chairmen of the Provincial Dekranasda for the 2025-2030 Term, the event continued with breaking the fast together and a thanksgiving for the 45th Anniversary of Dekranas.
