Jambiline.com – The Chairperson of the Muaro Jambi Regency National Craft Council (Dekranasda), Faradillah Bachyuni Deliansyah, attended the opening ceremony of the 2022 Entrepreneurial Skills Program (PKW) Tekun Tenun by First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo at the Governor's Official Residence Auditorium in Jambi, on Thursday (October 20, 2022).
The event also included an exhibition showcasing the products of the 2022 PKW Tekun Tenun program, featuring woven fabrics from Muaro Jambi, crafted by Parida, a weaver from Muara Kumpeh mentored by the Muaro Jambi Dekranasda.
"Alhamdulillah, we had the opportunity to attend and showcase Muaro Jambi’s woven MSME products. Our woven fabrics were purchased and highly appreciated by the wives of the Indonesian Maju Cabinet members,” said the Chairperson of Muaro Jambi Dekranasda, Faradillah Bachyuni Deliansyah.
She explained that in Muaro Jambi, the PKW training program was centered at SMP 4 Sakean, Kumpeh Ulu, involving 25 participants from Kunangan, Muara Kumpeh, Pudak, Sakean, Solok, Kota Karang, and several other villages in Kumpeh Ulu District.
"The training, spanning 200 hours, started on October 5 and will run until November 22, 2022. The main focus is on weaving techniques, with 80% of the training dedicated to producing shawls and fabrics, while the remaining 20% covers financial management, marketing, and personal development,” she explained.***
