Solo (ANTARA) – First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo attended the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Expo as part of the 44th Anniversary of the National Handicraft Council (Dekranas) 2024 at Pamedan Pura Mangkunegaran Solo.

According to observations in Solo, Central Java, on Thursday, Iriana arrived with members of the Solidarity Action Organization of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet (Oase).

On this occasion, Iriana purchased several MSME products, including fabrics, food, jewelry, and bags.

This was conveyed by Selvi Ananda, wife of Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

“Madam Iriana bought a lot of items, including fabrics, handicrafts like jewelry, bags, and also some food products,” she said.

Meanwhile, Selvi herself purchased traditional Balinese batik fabric, Gedog Tuban fabric, and some accessories.

“I got Gedog Tuban fabric and more,” she said.

Regarding the event, she encouraged Solo residents to visit and support MSME products. Around 300 booths were available at the expo.

“Don't forget, for all Solo residents or visitors from other provinces still in Solo, make sure to visit the Expo, which runs until May 18,” she said.

At the same event, Chairperson of the 44th Dekranas Anniversary Committee, Loemongga Agus Gumiwang, stated that all the products showcased at the expo had been curated.

“Each product is a selected item fostered by the respective Dekranasda from each province. The quality of the products is excellent,” she said.
