Solo (ANTARA) – First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo attended the peak event of the 44th Anniversary of the National Handicraft Council (Dekranas) in Solo, Central Java.
During the thanksgiving celebration of Dekranas' 44th Anniversary, held at Hotel Alila Solo, Central Java, on Wednesday, Iriana arrived at around 9:00 AM WIB. On this occasion, she wore an orange kebaya.
Several wives of officials also attended, including the Chairperson of Dekranas, Wury Ma’ruf Amin, and the Executive Chairperson of Dekranas, Tri Suswati. In addition, all members of OASE Kabinet Indonesia Maju were present.
Before officially opening the event, Iriana took the time to greet the approximately 1,500 participants.
“I almost didn't recognize anyone because all the ladies are wearing fabrics from their respective regions,” she said.
On this occasion, Iriana also extended her congratulations on the 44th anniversary of Dekranas.
“Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I hereby open this event,” she said, followed by cutting a tumpeng, which was then handed over to the Chairperson of Dekranas.
Meanwhile, as part of the 44th Dekranas Anniversary celebration, a parade of decorated handicraft and cultural floats will be held. Additionally, an exhibition of each region’s flagship products and training sessions for artisans will take place.
