Liputan6.com, Solo First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo and the wife of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Wury Ma'ruf Amin, are scheduled to attend the 44th Anniversary Celebration of the National Crafts Council (Dekranas) and the 52nd Commemoration of the Family Welfare Empowerment Movement (PKK HKG). The event will be held in grand style in Solo, Central Java (Jateng), from May 15-18, 2024.
The Executive Chairperson of Dekranas, Tri Suswati Tito Karnavian, stated that Solo was chosen as the location for the 44th Dekranas Anniversary celebration as early as May last year. The event's host is the Dekranasda of Central Java Province.
“We will invite all board members, the First Lady, the General Chairperson of Dekranas, Mrs. Wury Ma'ruf Amin, along with the board of the Action Organization for Solidarity in the Indonesia Maju Cabinet Era (OASE KIM), the central Dekranas board, as well as the heads of Dekranas and PKK from all over Indonesia,” said Tri Tito Karnavian to the media at the lobby of Sriwedari Stadium, Laweyan, Solo, Central Java, on Sunday (May 12).
Tri added that the 44th Dekranas Anniversary celebration and the 52nd PKK HKG commemoration are being held together for efficiency in time and location.
“The Dekranas Anniversary is celebrated every March 3, and the PKK HKG every March 4. Since I am both the Executive Chairperson of Dekranas and the General Chairperson of PKK, for efficiency, we decided to hold both events in the same place, Solo, and at the same time,” said Tri.
Additionally, Tri mentioned that this year's celebrations will be significantly different from last year's in Medan, North Sumatra. This time, the festivities will include a variety of events that bring more people together. In addition to the parade, there will be numerous exhibitions and art performances at this year's event.
“The event starts from May 15-18, 2024, but on the evening of May 14, 2024, there will be a welcome dinner at Pracima Tuin Mangkunegaran, attended by First Lady Iriana Jokowi and the wife of the Vice President, Wury Ma'ruf Amin,” she said.
When asked by reporters about the reason for choosing Solo as the event location, Tri explained that Solo is easily accessible from many regions across Indonesia. Moreover, in terms of infrastructure and facilities, Solo is considered highly suitable and well-prepared to host a major event.
“Previously, we at the central level determined the event locations, which were often held in Jakarta. However, after the COVID-19 pandemic, which significantly impacted artisans in the regions, we decided to hold the event in the regions, starting with Medan. After Medan, the Central Java Provincial Government requested to host the next event, specifically in Solo, so we decided to hold it here,” Tri explained.
On this occasion, Tri also apologized to the people of Solo as the city will be crowded with visitors from all over Indonesia during the event. She hopes that the people of Solo will enjoy and participate in the 44th Dekranas Anniversary celebration and the 52nd PKK HKG commemoration.

4. Expo of MSME products fostered by Dekranas and Dekranasda at Pamedan Pura Mangkunegaran, Wednesday - Saturday (May 15-18).
5. Grand finale of the Family Welfare Empowerment Movement Anniversary at Pamedan Pura Mangkunegaran, Thursday (May 16).
6. City tour in Solo, Friday (May 17).
7. Closing ceremony of the Dekranas Anniversary at Pamedan Pura Mangkunegaran, Saturday (May 18).

1. National PKK Cadre Jamboree from May 14-16, 2024, from 09:00 until completion.
2. National PKK Choir Competition. This competition will be participated in by PKK representatives from all provinces of Indonesia on May 14, 2024, at Balekambang Arts Hall.
3. Cooking Competition for Local Food Menu Using Non-Rice Carbohydrate Sources on May 14, 2024, at the Gastronomy Building, participated in by TP PKK Provincial Board Members.
4. Creative 6-Step Handwashing Gymnastics Competition, participated in by TP PKK Provincial Board representatives, on May 14, 2024, at the Amphitheater Puro Mangkunegaran.
5. Welcome Dinner for all participants and invited guests on May 14, 2024, from 19:00-21:00 at Pracima Tuin Pura Mangkunegaran.
