JAKARTA, suaramerdeka-jakarta.com – Welcoming the holy month of Ramadan, National Crafts Council (Dekranas) organized the “Affordable Basic Goods Bazaar” as part of the series of events celebrating the 44th Anniversary of Dekranas. The event took place on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Rumah Kriya Asri Dekranas, Jl. Ampera Raya No.1000, South Jakarta.
The event was attended and opened by the Chairperson of Dekranas, Mrs. Wury Ma’ruf Amin, accompanied by the Executive Chairperson of Dekranas, Mrs. Tri Tito Karnavian, and the Chairperson of the 44th Dekranas Anniversary Committee, Mrs. Loemongga Agus Gumiwang, along with several Dekranas officials and local residents.
In her speech, Mrs. Loemongga stated, “The affordable basic goods bazaar aims to provide an opportunity for the community around Rumah Kriya Asri Dekranas to obtain essential goods at affordable prices. This is our way of appreciating the community for supporting our efforts in promoting national crafts.”

The Chairperson of the Social Service Committee for the 44th Dekranas Anniversary, Mrs. Liza Mustafa, explained that the event was part of the Dekranas anniversary celebrations, which will culminate on May 15, 2024, in Solo.
With the theme “Growing Together, Advancing the Nation’s Heritage,” the 44th Dekranas Anniversary aims to foster a sense of unity among Indonesian artisans.
Through various activities such as training, mentoring, exhibitions, and financial access, Dekranas strives to create a creative entrepreneurial ecosystem for Indonesian artisans.
This event is a concrete step in supporting Indonesian artisans while nurturing the spirit of mutual cooperation and sharing during the holy month of Ramadan.

“Through the Affordable Basic Goods Bazaar, we hope to make a positive contribution to our mission and role at Dekranas. This initiative is a meaningful effort to ease the economic burden on the community, especially in obtaining essential goods at affordable prices,” said Mrs. Wury during the opening ceremony.
The affordable goods initiative was aimed at approximately 500 residents who received distribution coupons from the local neighborhood head. Essential goods packages worth Rp. 250,000 were available for just Rp. 50,000.
