JAKARTA, RADARSELATAN.FAJAR.CO.ID — The Kriyanusa 2023 Exhibition officially opened on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). This exhibition is attended by all Dekranasda representatives from various provinces in Indonesia, including districts and cities.
The Bulukumba Regency Dekranasda did not miss the opportunity to participate in this annual national event. The Chairperson of Bulukumba Dekranasda, Andi Herfida Muchtar, who was present at the opening of the Kriyanusa 2023 Exhibition, stated that this year’s event is an excellent momentum to promote all craft potentials from Bulukumba Regency, especially the Kajang and Bira woven fabrics, which have their own unique appeal from Butta Panrita Lopi.
“Alhamdulillah, at this year’s Kriyanusa Exhibition, we were able to bring Bira weavers along with their traditional weaving tools. Besides showcasing Bira’s woven fabric creations, visitors to the Bulukumba Regency booth can also witness the weaving process firsthand,” said Andi Herfida.
Andi Herfida also hopes that the products exhibited at Kriyanusa 2023 will sell well so that the weavers can continue creating and producing woven fabrics to their full potential. “Currently, the Bulukumba Dekranasda is actively assisting the weavers to keep them motivated to be more creative and make further modifications so that the quality of the woven fabrics produced by the women in Kajang and Bira continues to improve,” she explained.
At the opening of the Kriyanusa 2023 Exhibition, the Chairperson of the South Sulawesi Dekranasda, Sofha Marwah Bahtiar, visited the Bulukumba Regency booth and had a friendly conversation with Bulukumba Dekranasda Chairperson, Andi Herfida Muchtar. Sofha hopes that the Kriyanusa Exhibition will bring significant benefits, especially for weavers in rural areas. “Hopefully, this event will yield meaningful outcomes for the development of the craft industry in South Sulawesi and, of course, improve the welfare of the weavers,” she concluded. ***
