Sriwijayamedia.com – Welcoming the holy month of Ramadan, the National Crafts Council (Dekranas) organized the “Affordable Basic Goods Bazaar” as part of the series of events commemorating the 44th Anniversary of Dekranas.
This event took place on Sunday (3/3/2024) at Rumah Kriya Asri Dekranas, Jalan Ampera Raya No. 1000, South Jakarta.
The event was attended and inaugurated by Dekranas Chairperson Wury Ma’ruf Amin, accompanied by Dekranas Executive Chairperson Tri Tito Karnavian and the 44th Anniversary Commemoration Committee Chairperson Loemongga Agus Gumiwang, along with several Dekranas officials and local residents.
In her speech, Loemongga stated that the affordable basic goods bazaar aims to provide local communities around Rumah Kriya Asri Dekranas with access to staple needs at affordable prices.
“This is our way of appreciating the community that has supported our efforts in advancing national crafts,” she said.
The 44th Dekranas Anniversary Social Service Chairperson, Liza Mustafa, explained that this initiative is part of the anniversary celebration, which will culminate on May 15, 2024, in Solo.
With the theme “Growing Together, Advancing the Nation's Heritage,” the 44th Dekranas Anniversary aims to foster a sense of unity among Indonesian artisans.
Through various activities such as training, mentoring, exhibitions, and access to capital, Dekranas strives to create a creative entrepreneurial ecosystem for Indonesian artisans.
This event serves as a concrete step in supporting Indonesian artisans while also fostering the spirit of solidarity and sharing during Ramadan.
“Through the Affordable Basic Goods Bazaar, we hope to make a positive contribution to our mission and role at Dekranas. The affordable basic goods bazaar is a meaningful effort to ease the economic burden on communities, particularly in accessing essential goods at reasonable prices,” said Wury.
This affordable goods initiative is intended for around 500 residents who have received distribution coupons from local neighborhood leaders.
Essential goods are available in packages valued at Rp250,000, which can be purchased for just Rp50,000.
“Join us in celebrating and sharing Ramadan blessings through the affordable basic goods bazaar. Let’s be part of the movement to advance national crafts and strengthen the local economy,” Loemongga added. (ismi)
