Osaka, Japan – The National Crafts Council (Dekranas) is participating in the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, which takes place from April 13 to October 13, 2025. The collaboration between Dekranas' International Cooperation Division and Standardization Division plays a key role in showcasing Indonesia’s craft potential to the world.


Inauguration of the Indonesia Pavilion: A Symbol of Government Synergy


The Indonesia Pavilion was officially inaugurated by the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Rachmat Pambudi, alongside the Indonesian Ambassador to Japan, H.E. Heri Ahmadi, through a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Also present were representatives from Dekranas, including Mrs. Ayu Rosan from the Standardization Division, and ex-officio representatives from the Ministry of Culture. This marks a strategic step in promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) and globally promoting Indonesian culture.


“Thriving in Harmony – Nature, Culture, Future”


The Indonesia Pavilion carries the theme “Thriving in Harmony – Nature, Culture, Future,” highlighting Indonesia’s natural wealth, cultural traditions, and vision of future technologies. Curated pieces, including those touched by designer Didit Prabowo, strengthen Indonesia’s image as a creative and innovative nation.
