RM.id Rakyat Merdeka – First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo officially opened the 2023 Nusantara Craft Exhibition (Kriyanusa) at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Wednesday (September 13).
“With the words Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I hereby declare the Kriyanusa 2023 Exhibition open,” said Iriana as she inaugurated the event.
This exhibition is organized by the National Crafts Council (Dekranas) in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) under the theme ‘Superior Crafts, Advanced Indonesia,’ and runs for five days, from September 13-17, 2023.
This event aims to promote and encourage superior craftsmanship as one of Indonesia's most valuable assets in facing global market challenges.
Kriyanusa 2023 Exhibition serves as a platform for skilled artisans from all over the country to showcase their beautiful and creative works.
The exhibition not only highlights unique handicrafts but also demonstrates an unlimited spirit of innovation and creativity in producing superior craft products.

The Chairperson of the Kriyanusa 2023 Exhibition Committee, Sri Suparni Bahlil, stated that the exhibition is a tangible effort by Dekranas to enhance the capacity of craft entrepreneurs while preserving the cultural identity of all regions in Indonesia.
“This exhibition serves as a platform to help market products fostered by Dekranasda and provides a space for the Nusantara craft industry to continuously foster creativity and innovation in improving their business performance and showcasing their superior products,” she stated.
Sri Suparni believes that in an era increasingly dominated by advanced technology and economic progress, Indonesia finds its uniqueness and strength in an invaluable asset: craftsmanship.
